FAQ

The island has some fantastic attractions, It's the MGL teams job to bring you some of the facts behind the spooky stories. Every attraction you find on this site can be visited by you, some for free.. HH

Others you will have to pay Admission - but the main thing is, you'll be all clued up as to what to look out for !. Locations are being added all the time, so make sure you stay with us..

Where is it ?

2 Miles to the south of Portsmouth.
Many years ago the Isle of Wight was connected to the mainland of the UK.

How do you get to it ?

You can cross over using the Car Ferry, Hispeed Hydrofoil or even the Hovercraft.
And NO !.. you do not need a passport to visit us, as some people would have you believe. (honest !.. I've been asked this myself)

How big is it ?

Roughly 22 miles across, 13 miles from top to bottom

Whats it like ?

Very Green !, if you like the countryside you'll love the island.
Alot of visitors have commented on the slow pace of life.
Dont expect huge Themeparks with rollercoasters, the island is more geared up for the historic, 'nature' side of things.

Why should I visit ?

Ahhh.. now we get to the good bit..
The island is said to be the UK's hotspot for Paranormal activity, Ley lines pass straight through the middle of it. We have witchcraft, smugglers and even royal ghosts - just about every town has a ghostly tale to tell, you certainly wont have to go far to be spooked.
